VLC Media PLayer - USB Camera Capture video stream
One of the possibilities of VLC Media PLayer is capturing your webcam's video stream. The webcam i momentary use is : Brand : MEDION, Type : PC-30. Capture you webcam's stream you can realise via the wizard or manual settings.

Click this icon on your desktop.
VLC Media Player mainwindow is displayed.
Configure your capture settings. Take the menu option File / OPen Capture Device.
Select first your "Video device name" and "Audio device name".
Check the option "Stream/Save". Click the to continue setting the options.
The "Stream Output dialogue box" is displayed. Check the "file" as output. Click the button to determine the location and give a file name.
File name : CAPTURE_TEST_15_MP1V.MPG
Select the "Encapsulation Method" Set the "Transcoding options".
Check "Video codec" and select mp1v as value. Check "Audio codec" and select mp3 as value. Click to continue.
Confirm the settings and begin the capturing. Click the button.
